We are empowered to prosper and empower others too. I'll definitely impart this knowledge I've received to my community. After the workshop, participants expressed their being empowered to share knowledge learnt with peer MSME entrepreneurs and among their respective communities. Most of participants find the workshop quite relevant to their work and they are very satisfied with results of the workshop. The imparted skill sets include strategic planning, opportunity seeking, business formalization as well as e-commerce and online marketing skills. Through intensive module, the five-day workshop has strengthened capacities of participants in areas critical to enhance MSME resilience for accelerating progress towards SDGs in Zimbabwe. Eighty per cent of participants are women and youth MSME entrepreneurs. The workshop concludes with a detailed example solution, as well as a discussion of the system's inputs and SLOs.The national capacity building workshop received 65 participants from four provinces of Zimbabwe. The practical part of this workshop asks participants to apply the principles they have learned to develop a Publish-Subscribe system that meets certain performance and correctness requirements and Service Level Objectives (SLOs). We introduce the problem requirements in detail and walk through the first parts of an example solution.
Topics include correctness, reliability, performance, different inter-system communication styles, and more. In the first theoretical part of the workshop, participants learn about some foundational large system design principles and concepts. We consider NALSD a concept fundamental to SRE, and understanding its principles provides a basis for having meaningful conversations about the design and operation of large software systems. The goals of this workshop are to (1) introduce participants to the principles of non-abstract large systems design ( NALSD), and (2) provide hands-on experiences with applying these principles to the design and evaluation of these systems.
